The yearly Brit fashionista sensation that is the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2012 in association with Pandora was held last night 29 May in Berkeley Square Gardens in London’s Mayfair.With the words Glamour and Awards as part of the event title you just know the female stars will be turning up in their droves and turn up in their droves they did. Do like this event, in theory it’s a red carpet event, but there’s no red carpet just the road.
Myleene Klass grabs the headline in Part 1 and she in my opinion didn’t steal the show outright as there was just too much competition from other celebs who are also hot in the style stakes but she was one of the top girls on arrivals on the night even No1 but it wasn’t a walk over.. Managed to get some eye contact from her to get this shot above………. after a lot of screaming saying how good she looked. Seemed to do the trick for some reason!

This article is written not in the normal news style but from a photographers angle giving you the inside track at these events as to get those eye popping shots takes a lot of waiting, a lot of prep, semi decent gear, a lot of shouting and screaming and a bit of jostling and wrestling for a decent spot to get those decent shots in the first place.
This 2012 event was held a couple of weeks earlier than last years 2011 event due probably to the Queens Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. I was actually there at last years event with just a mobile for a camera (just happened to be passing by), no stepladders, (you’re not a photog unless you have stepladders), and I was in the press pen last year or as I like to call it “the pit” getting some rather strange looks from the press guys but managed to get some shots.
This year things are a bit different and I knew about the event in advance , I had the same mobile but also had some decent albeit rather old kit and a foot stool as a step ladder. Let battle commence.
Arrived at 5pm for the press sign up with the general public queing further down the road and swelling in numbers at a frightening rate. Got in position at 6pm for a 7pm ish celeb arrival onslaught.. The rain clouds started to gather and with rain mac and brolly on standby and two ham rolls and a ring donut from Tesco’s for moral support it wasn’t looking promising but managed to secure a front row slot with photogs on step ladders behind with just a railing seperating me from the stars. It doesn’t get any better than that!
A few test shots using the back of a Security Guards head and a quick natter with some of the photogs and a quick scan of the guest list and STONE ME here they come. Better turn the flash on………does help!
NB All shots taken at this event were taken with the not so artistic non blurred background so they do have a busy background that is not out of focus, so things like security guards, non celeb guests, lamp posts, railings and other photogs are clearly in focus but it was felt they are part of the event and add a bit of ambience to the shots otherwise the shots could have been taken anywhere.
Alesha Dixon of BGT judging fame and music artist was one of the early arrivals that stood out and caused us photogs to get excited and she was looking good. (more…)
Jessica Alba, Cash Warren and the 2 kids were spotted arriving this weekend at Narita Airport in Tokyo (see previous article) , the question is why?
Was it a Holiday, business trip, film premiere or promo duties. Looks like it was the latter with a bit of a hol thrown in the mix.
The Tommy Hilfiger Omotesando Flagship Store opening took place today in Tokyo and pictures have just arrived of Tommy Hilfiger and Jessica Alba doing some poses for a photograph during the opening event so there’s your answer.
Wonder how much it costs to have Jessica Alba at your store opening or did she do the honours as a friend and gratis?

Airport arrivals and departures are part of celebrity life and this feature has just two stars with the names being Poppy Montgomery and Jessica Alba spotted arriving at Sydney and Tokyo airports respectively.
Both shots are family or mothers with kids shots, they don’t seem to have a problem with the being papped so we don’t have a problem either. Further details on each star below with of course pics. (more…)
The stars are certainly in Paris for Paris Fashion Week A/W 2012 and another Hollywood type in the form of Jessica Alba is yet another star that was spotted today on a shopping mission with a friend. She has been pretty active tweeting pictures of herself around Paris and photographing cups of coffee and other suvh things the last couple of days.There’s one pic on my personal Twitter page if you can find it?
Jessica Alba was spotted entering and leaving a couple of stores including Bonpoint and Monoprix (no store endorsement intended although it’s free advertising for the stores concerned) and was rocking the casual look with denim and gray being the order of the day. We get the impression she’s a pastel kind of girl? She was also seen outside her hotel.

Celebrities turned out in force for the Michael Kors fashion show at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall (Autumn to those outside the US) 2012 event. Normally the bigger designer events are held in the latter stages of this fashion show and the corresponding bigger name stars are attracted to these events.
Michael Kors is one those bigger names that has some standing in fashion circles and Anna Wintour was there on the front row and without the trademark shades most of the time and was on the edge of her seat, so this must have been something special. If Wintour of Vogue was there and incredibly interested, you can guarantee other big name stars wouldn’t be far behind.
So who else was there? Other top names at this fashion event included Jessica Alba and other half Cash Warren, Amber Heard, Paula Patton, Debra Messing, Anjelica Huston, Rachel Zoe (stylist to the stars) and Stacy Keibler the other half of George Clooney.
