The 2012 Sundance Film Festival is now in full swing and finishes on 29 January and it looks like plenty was happening over the weekend. The Festival is all about films and documentaries (154 events over the weekend photos) and is a sort of shopping ground for Film Distributors, but it is also a celebrity magnet and playground of the first order and over the coming days we will be taking a look at what some of the celebrities get up to at this very casual non red carpet event.
So what do celebrities do at the Sundance Film Festival to let their hair down whilst away from the pressures of Hollywood? Paris Hilton a name that has been fairly quiet on this site recently, but after having a root around the photo feed for this event, as she is a bit of a regular, we managed to come up with the goods. The Sundance Film Festival held in Park City in Utah every January is the very first film festival in the film festival calendar and it’s a cracker. This years proceedings start on 19 January and finish on 29 January. The location has been pretty much the same for some period of time and a lot the films that appear here do go on to do quite well if they get general release, Academy Awards are also common. This event doesn’t have the red carpet glamour of say Cannes as there aren’t any red carpets as such, this is more of a ‘grass roots’ and “shirt sleeves rolled up” rather than black tux and bow tie vibe BUT it is watched quite closely by big name distributors for obvious reasons.
This event is also a fave of ours as you get to see multiple celebrities and not all of them involved with the film industry in casual mode not giving a damn basically about photogs and other such celebrity related paraphernalia. They are here (more…)
