A huge amount of interest in the TV BAFTAS held on the weekend which was to be expected. SO here are some bonus photos, a sort of photographic study of the actress Helena Bonham Carter whilst being interviewed by Jenni Falconer at this event. Some shots that are slightly different from the usual smiling statue style shots you see at these sort of events.
Behind the scenes on the day it looked like it was a no go to get in this event as the limited places allocated (198) were all taken by 11am. I arrived at 12.
Lady luck did her thing for me though and security gave me and a couple of other people the nod and wink and were led to what turned out to be a pretty good area for getting shots right next to the film crews literally a couple of minutes before the cars started arriving. This area turned out to be a magnet and holding area for the stars. So these TV BAFTA photos very nearly didn’t happen in photo terms for yours truly, it really was that close. That situation it has to be said was a bit on the “intense” side to put it mildly!
These photos of Helena give a good insight into how good an actress she really is being able to change from one mood to another via her face at the flick of a switch. Will always remember her for her role in the film “Fight Club“. It’s the definitive rebels film. It’s on the edge and fry your brain stuff and she was superb and probably in her element.
