Andy Murray is one of those sports stars I personally follow more closely than others along with names such as Bradley Wiggins, Maria Sharapova, Jessica Ennis, Victoria Pendleton and our new rising Tennis star Laura Robson (keep an eye on her she’s destined for great things) amongst others. They have all had a rocky road to success but got there in the end!

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations continue in London and the Buckingham Papace Concert was held yesterday at that rather large house on the mall. Special occasions bring out special people spanning over decades and this was yet another event of that calibre, part of the 4 day spectacle that is the Diamond Jubilee.
Thousands of well-wishers from around the world have flocked to London to witness the spectacle of the weekend’s celebrations and millions more have watched it on TV around the globe to witness something that may not be seen again in our lifetimes. A lot of names here for this concert including all of Royalty such as Prince William and Catherine – Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Camilla – Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice of York and more and of course The Queen but no Prince Philip who was not in attendance as he was rushed to hospital. More on that at Metro..
Other prominent names outside of Royalty at the event included Prime Minster David Cameron and his wife Samantha Cameron, Rolf Harris and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Music stars honoured with performing at this Royal concert (more…)
Donna Summer died on Thursday at the age of 63 and according to sources she was suffering from cancer. The 5 times Grammy Award winner star who’s famous number amongst many was “I Feel Love” which rocked the music world. It was many decades ahead of it’s time and dominated the music charts for a considerable period back in the day when names such as The Jacksons amongst many others were around. Remember my parents playing this song as a tiny nipper………over and over, it was everywhere. It went viral in a big way you could say and there was no Internet in those days!
Fans and stars paid tribute at her star on the Hollywood walk of Fame and top names in the music industry paid tribute to this supremely talented singer.
According to the BBC R&B singer Mary J Blige stated on Twitter that Donna Summer was “truly a game changer”, while producer Quincy Jones said her voice “was the heartbeat and soundtrack of a decade”.
Jennifer Lopez has teamed up with Wisin and Yandel for her latest smouldering outing in a song called ‘Follow The Leader’ which sees her parading in the infamously exotic Acapulco in Mexico in a music video for their joint track.
In summary being chased by manic men on the streets, building jumping, scantily clad bed scenes and tat and body art flashing are part of the J Lo music video thrill ride. You know the usual thing. If you thought she was hanging up her microphone, think again.
Full review of the vid and song later today. Further details and music video link available at the Jennifer Lopez Twitter Page @JLo Can’t miss it!
