A huge turn out of arts related celebrities attended the South Bank Sky Art Awards which was held at the Dorchester Hotel in London today.

Melvyn Bragg was presenting at this celebrated event and skimming the surface of the extensive guest list produces names such as Charlotte Ritchie, , Michael Ball, Tracey Emin, Jo Whiley, Tom Jones, Zoe Wanamaker, Dominic West, Felicity Kendal, Grayson Perry, Howard Marks, Michael Ball and Twiggy. There were many more.

The Rodial Beautiful Awards 2012  were held tonight 6 March at the Sanderson Hotel in London. These awards recognise and celebrate women of beauty, style and elegance – women who embody the Rodial skincare brand Philosophy. This is the third Rodial Awards event.

Names that grab the eye on the arrivals guest list on the night included Elle Macpherson, Kelly Hoppen, Sadie Frost, Tamara Ecclestone, Tess Daly, Whitney Port, Yasmin Le Bon and Zara Martin. Meryl Streep and the 2012 Academy Awards. Winners List and Press Room Photos!

The 2012 Oscars gave their verdict last night in Hollywood and The Artist claimed that coveted award of Best Picture and Jean Dujardin claimed the best actor in a leading role for his role within that film. So they were in agreement with the previouis film awards on that. Hugo came away with a huge quantity of awards in the lesser categories that are more technical in nature including Best cinematography, Best art direction, Best sound editing and many others but nothing in the main categories.

Octavia Spencer managed to put The Help on the map and picked up The Best Supporting Actress award and Meryl Streep adds yet another award to her collection and claimed the Best actress award for her role in The Iron Lady which we couldn’t disagree with, it was an exceptional performance with film critics from all 4 corners heaping praise on this actress……………..that doesn’t happen very often and needs some sort of recognition which the Academy Awards quite rightly noted. The Brit Awards 2012 were held last night at the O2 Arena in London and if you were anything to do with the Brit music scene you were probably there. Predictably Adele and Ed Sheeran came away with the lions share of the awards. Adele nailed the Best British Female and the Best British album Award with Ed Sheeran claiming the British Breakthrough Act and Best British Male.. Colplay had a well deserved win with the Best British Group Award and Emeli Sande a rising star we are watching closely was awarded the coveted Critics Choice Award. Full list of winners below.

So who is stylish in an iconic manner in the eyes of Elle Magazine, one of the leading authorities in such things. We’ve got Rosie Huntington Whiteley currently as the face of this website and flying the Fame Fad flag, is Elle Mag in agreement with this in any shape or form?

The Elle Style Awards 2012 were held last night at the Savoy Hotel in London to answer that question and it  looks like they as in Elle are in agreement, as Rosie Huntington Whitely came away with The coveted Style Icon Award presented to her by Cuba Gooding Junior at the event.

In red carpet terms Rosie on the night shone as she always does in that effortless manner but so very very brightly.
