The final score in the match was 6-2, 6-7, 8-6 after 2hrs 24mins of gruelling play to Stosur. Serena was complaining about feeling groggy in her last match and did get medical treatment but it just goes to show nothing is certain especially in this game. Samantha Stosur according to multiple sources has shown the best form this season whilst playing on clay compared to all the other players in the tournament.
